Rebuild of Walled Boundary
Clients in Oakham, Rutland required an extension to their property for the addition of a Sun room to enjoy and relax in the winter months, and a walled patio area with a raised herb garden for the warmer times. HM Building Services Ltd completed all the work requested by the clients, from the ground works, construction and roofing of the extension to plastering and installing the under floor heating and Oak flooring for the finishing touch. Owners of this property in Braunston Rutland needed urgent repairs to their boundary walling and additional walling built to replace storm damaged fence panels. The new wall and piers were built using Bradstone as this was the best match to the existing walling and house materials. The wall was finished with close board fencing panels fixed on to timber rails built into the piers. The existing wall was partly taken down and the materials re-used to re-build the damaged section on new stronger foundations with an expansion joint to allow for any movement. The Barns in Harringworth are two new properties built by H M Building Services Ltd for Brown and Jones Ltd and where possible were built using traditional materials like, handmade bricks, Oak timbers, a mixture of reclaimed lime stone and sawn on bed lime stone with reclaimed plain tiles on the lower barn roofs and Collyweston slate and local thatch on the stone parts of the houses. The Atrium which links the stone house to the brick barn section was constructed using Ashlar stone to give the appearance of the properties being mature, altered and extended over a period of time, rather than new build properties.
